This would make sense and if so, my AD is playing with me. He says he will have my rose gold Daytona on 9/1! Hmmm….

I watch him, and a dozen others ... love / hate many things about all of em... and yes, I like T.Masso too.... guy knows more about watches than 99.99995% of people on this forum.

Jeez….

10% on PM? A 505 is now gonna be almost 45k plus tax so for me that’s damn near 49k……

Wondering if that’ll free up some availability

Not like I’m expecting any calls anyway. I’ll make do with what I got. Not like I need another 50k watch

Also wondering if the increase is Rolex trying to partake in the “dip” as in prices are going down a tad well here’s a price hike. Take that…

Maybe….

I’m also “up next” for a 505. Supposedly.

It's pretty awful when forum members quote terrible talking watch heads and buy into rumors.

It's lazy, speculative, and hype driving. Good job ruining the hobby.

Just let it happen, what's so hard about that?

the WG Submariner (126619LB) is currently at $40650... so it will easily hit $45K and in California and like states with high sales tax, sit right at $49K.

My watch hobby credentials are beyond reproach (in my humble view)... never been a dealer, always a collector, have owned maybe 3 dozen watches over 35 years and currently have 6...

Talking about price hikes has been a part of this hobby since day 1... and speculation about it along side.. relax man, grab a drink if it's after 2PM and enjoy the comments until we either do or don't get a hike on the 1st.

Just called my local AD and the SA I usually deal with wasn’t there. The SA who picked up is a straight forward British man and he said something like this “this is the first I hear about it. We (AD’s) will know on the same day, with the rest of the world, but I wouldn’t believe it. It doesn’t matter regardless because we don’t have watches to sell anyways”

Price increase is confirmed in UK 1st September. Rolex is not the only one, Omega, IWC, JLC, Breguet and Panerai will also increase on the 1st

The British pound and Euro really have fallen off a cliff during the last year, I'm surprised only England MSRP will be affected

There's no way that's accurate, since all the tags, etc. have to be switched since the increase is retroactive to in-stock pieces (incl. exhibition/for-display-only) and those will have old price tags.

Probably hard to do that all day-of.

I agree. and in a pre-2015 world where they were sitting around in the case, that would be a lot of work... but right now 99% of dealers are 99% out of stock.

You better off buying grey for 40k and tax free if buying out of state.

right now yes... but I don't predict that 40 price will hold much longer ... right now demand is at an all time low.

I welcome MRSP price increase ,it increases the value of any collection .
Longterm,sustainable increase of worth .
Real value is still the joy and privilege of owning and wearing .Priceless.

Unlike the frenzy circus we had to endure the past 2 or 3 years .
The circus always packs up and leaves town ..

Considering the past few years ,with my knowledge ( Which, btw, I learnt on TRF over many years) I can also open a youtube channel and talk like a freakin' "expert" ...

...and I hope Mr Flipperman disappears of the face of the earth for good .Let's give first time Rolex buyers the chance they deserve at MRSP .

I was in my local AD earlier picking up a watch and asked if they could confirm the rumour, they said they’d heard nothing although apparently they are only formally advised the night before any increase.

I think most of us watch quite a few watch related You-tube channels.

In all honesty I've only ever heard good things about the guy from those that dealt with him when he was a dealer. The negative stuff is just opinion and noise.

I think he's been a pretty straight shooter thus far.

I've listened to him once and wasn't positively impressed. Surprised he's got a following at all.

10% on PM would push some models above the gray price. So we'll either see gray adjust upwards despite falling for months or stock slowly trickling back into ADs

Down? Yes the day after never.

Rolex doesn’t do price drops. Yes discounts used to be a thing but not MSRP drops
