Opinions on B&R BR 03-92 Aviation Gold Heritage

I've had my eye on one of these for a while now. Does anyone have one? Opinions? Seems like a rich interpretation on the square B&R case. Occasionally these come up for sale at deep discounts on the gray market and it's very tempting. What say you TRF??

Ok one more attempt. Would TRF strike at a hair less than $2500 new??

Relative new guy here on this forum...but here's my .02 cents...I would take a pass. For me personally, I have a hard time with the square design...obviously many do not, but it's just not for me at any price point. No comment on their quality as I haven't owned one, but I read one post where an individual wasn't too happy with the regulation of the Sellita movement. Another minor personal point of note is that I know these are "aviation" themed watches, but as an airline pilot, I have never seen any Bell & Ross watch in any cockpit that I've flown in...I'm sure they're out there though. If you're looking for a square watch design with a deep discount, maybe this is for you? If you're looking for a pilot or aviation watch, I would recommend looking at a few other brands at that price point.

Cheers!

Thank you Sir for your reply. Keeping the ball rolling in an otherwise dead thread The square case design does interest me but, after thinking about it for a few days, an Omega speedy, Breitling, or a B&R Aeronavale might be a better choice. Save the square case for later possibly. B&R has gone off the deep end marketing to pilots. I guess that's just their shtik. The price point is appealing though. The blue Aeronavale looks great in my opinion. I put up another thread about that one that's on life support as well Anyway thanks for taking a minute to give me some feedback on the B&R

Hello ...

I had this exact model for 6 months now.

I got interested in B&R after my wife gotten her 39mm Quartz. I started some "researches" on B&R. Movement was rather disappointing, with Sellita movement, did not even have screw down feature. Many comment that it was rather overprice too. But there was another camp who loves the design, the iconic look.

Anyway, after 1 month of struggle, still I went for it. I guess it's individual preference to like/dislike it. Square face is B&R icon IMO, and the 42mm BR03-92 is a more comfortable size (especially for Asians) to wear. Chose this over other BR03-92 because of the more classic look with gold markers & hands, brownish face, something I did not have in my humble collection. I am happy with it until today :(

Today just send my wife's 39mm Quartz to service centre, thinking that just a battery replacement is required. But instead was informed it wasn't battery issue, but other problem, thus gotta keep it there for estimated 3 weeks :( Rather disappointed and confidence with B&R shaken as we owned this watch for barely 8 months. Will see what happen next ...
