Icon14 The Blackbird Limited Edition has landed....Wow! Pics

My Blackbird Limited Edition has landed. Just purchased this beautiful Breitling from a very trusted member of our forum. He was the original owner and kept very good care of my Blackbird. This is the Breitling that made me jump into the brand as I wanted a serious chronograph. When I think chronograph, I think of "Breitling Chronomat".
As a long time forum member, you dont just start a thread about a new watch without some proper pics, so here ya go.

I took the day off waiting for the watch. In my own OCD fashion, as soon as I opened the shipping box, the watch went under a magnifying loupe. Watch was accurately described as in excellent condition with a few minor marks. I polished all minor marks off and cleaned up the bracelet and clasp to new condition. AR is spotless.

I have done this over the years with many Omega, Rolex, etc... and feel comfortable knowing my limits. This was just a simple job on the Blackbird, nothing major at all. This is the first Breitling in my collection and I am starting to wonder what took me so long. Beautiful build quality. Bezel moves with a quality click and lines up. The Breitling oozes quality.

Bracelet is extremely comfortable. Bravo for Breitling for having a adjustable clasp.

My Limited Edition number is 1012 out of 2000 and warranteed to 2019.

Lume is outstanding.

There is a black and red theme in my life so the Blackbird was a easy choice.

Watch was regulated by Breitling for +2 a day by the previous owner. This forum purchase is what it is all about. You always hope that when you open the shipping box you will be impressed and the description was accurate. This was beyond my expectation and want to let Crow1962, his Blackbird is in good hands.

The Blackbird big date was exactly the chronomat look I always admired but money and other watches came first. A little late to the Breitling brand but soooo glad I am here.

Thanks guys. It's always fun to embrace a new horological brand after so many years of owning all the others. I will say that adjustment of the pilot bracelet was a new experience compared to Rolex,Omega, etc... Super high quality but the diagonal multi link pieces are like a puzzle when apart. The pins are super beefy. Since I dive with all my watches, I can't imagine ever having a bracelet failure. I did get a new Breitling gen 3 rubber dive strap to change up the look.

For a sport/dive look: Here is the Blackbird on the Breitling Pro III rubber dive strap.

Very comfortable
