Bill, I love the 350. Sadly, I get to drive it very rarely. With the recent back surgery, the challenge getting in and out, it mostly sits. Likely, it will be the next swap I make. Only though because I prefer have something I'm comfortable driving and my tender back is not helping in that regard.

If I had more money, and a bigger garage, I'd keep it simply because it's so awesome, and in the hopes that my back issues get better in time.

I have to agree. The SRT is great on a lot of levels. We just took her on a road trip and it was a blast. A really awesome SUV.

No offense to your old sport but I couldn't get use to that rear bumper at all, the SVR on the other hand looks perfect. I just didn't like how dealers like to play game with the pricing at the time.

We also have the F15 X5 3.5 in the family. It's plenty fast with the turbo and has a nice start up sound. The tech is way nicer than anything else out there. I think this would be a solid choice if you do add another. Just make sure you get the msport lol.

How you rate the jeep ride comfort compared to all the other? It definitely is an interesting vehicle with proper specs.

You and me both man. I'd love to just collect cars. But alas, it is not currently meant to be. I must admit tho, after his description of the G wagon, it would be at the bottom of the list.

And I tend to agree on the rear of the range. I love the look of the car, but there is definitely something about the rear that doesn't appeal to me.

I drove a new 50i yesterday with m suspension and the dynamic handling package. Whoah...that's a nice ride that takes corners similar to my GT350. I felt zero body roll. And it's been clocked 0-60 at 4.3. It's becoming a real contender for me.

However, no more "new" cars for me. For now on, if I buy, it's going to be something with 10k or fewer miles. I'll let someone else take the hit on the parking lot fee.

^^^

Black grille comes in next week.

Wife's Macan S is on order (will use her current car to drive to customers when necessary) and an M3 is going to happen in about 6 months. Selling off watches, saving cash, getting rid of most things of value that I no longer use.

Like the title says, car swapping.

Looks great, congrats!
The black is badass! 5.0? My brother n law has it in white. It's not great in any bit of snow, but doesn't look like that should be a problem here on out. It's a beast and a ton of fun to drive, enjoy!
Going to need an update on what you've got...? Can't imagine you have the SRT and the X5

ha. yeah, the 50i. Super fast, tons of fun. M Sport with dynamic handling. No body roll...so tight. I actually remember you originally suggesting it. I wish I looked at it then. I am surprised at how much I like it. It drives like a car, not an SUV.

I am thinking next year I get a set of snow tires and all will be well for snow.

I actually thought about keeping the SRT as a daily because I really do love it. And have this for the fun car. But I feel like this blends in pretty good for the most part as BMW's are literally everywhere. I am hoping it is a good balance. But I will have my wifes current jeep GC for when I need it. I have 20 months left on the lease.

That said, my old man said he loves the SRT and asked me to buy it for what I would sell it back to a dealer for. So he gets a great deal and I get to keep it in the family. I really did not want to let that go. The more I drove it, the more I liked it. But it just does not compare with the 50i.

Good memory and you're right, there are enough X5's around that most people won't bat an eye. The key is to look at the tires, so fat!
Glad the SRT is staying in the fam, I'm sure pops won't mind those week/ends you want to switch off for old times sake either

LOVE those new X5's. I had the same thing, but a 2013 and miss it. Congratulations on the new ride.

Yeah man. That's exactly it, on both accounts.

I get to drive the SRT and keep it around.

And there are so many X5's no one (mostly) has any idea that something like this is essentially a very different car.

Best if all worlds.

Congrats Seth! I love the x5. I had a 2007 4.8i and a 2011 50i. They really do so many things right. I'm waiting on the next gen but who knows...maybe I won't make it

Enjoy the beast. Also if you're going to buy a new BMW before June-July, PM me. I have an email from bmw that gets you an additional 1000 off your negotiated price.

Big Congrats Seth!
After the discussion regarding this model last week I was very impressed with the specs and size.
You are very helpful for my own car shopping research.
That looks great in all black.

Black vents are a must!
Hit up IND-Distribution for all your parts, all OEM.

Also get the black painted roundel emblems. You would be surprised how much of a difference it makes.

We just got back from car shopping for the wife.

She was dead set on a boxter, until she drove it. It was just too small for her. She felt claustrophobic.

So we tried a Macan GTS. I was in love. Man, what this company does with cars is outrageous. It is incredible. But she wasn't interested.

We went to Mercedes. Apparently nothing worth test driving. if this day was not specific to her, I'd have hopped in a few to see what was what.

We went to Audi. She loves the A7. But alas, it's not for her.

BMW to drive the M3. What a beast... so nice. But no, she's not interested.

She prefers to keep her Jeep.

Damn, she's just an absolutely incredible partner. With no bias or expectation she simply tells me that she is happy and has everything that she needs.

She was actually a little disappointed tho as she wanted to love the boxter.

What a girl. I'm a lucky guy.
