Milgauss meets your requirements well. Used to be easy to get from an AD window, now in most places no chance. Also small production- must be less than even Daytona- certainly looks that way on used markets where Z blue and ceramic D are similar ages. Last time I saw one sitting was HK airport 2017. They also had a blue SS SkyDweller and an Air King (but that was it for pro SS). If only I knew re Sky D...

Day date 36. Crazy to me that I could sell a ceramic Daytona and buy a solid gold day date. Almost 2 of them if I went for 1803.

Well, I own these sleepers and that's what I love about them:

116200 63600
16253
114270
14060M
16570 on leather--bracelet needs work

1503 on leather--came without bracelet
And I own this one which seems to be rather popular:

116710BLNR

I hear you. 116520 price relative to Zenith and DaytonaC prices is why I mentioned.

5-digit mentioned as the sweet spot (in my humble opinion) at a better price point than 4-digit models and with the svelte, tool watch DNA relative to SubC and SubC Date. Full disclosure, I have a 5-Digit Submariner and SubC Date.

I guess probably 116660 D-Blue. Only 3.5 yr production cycle. Could become a collectible piece. (Logically assume Rolex will not discontinue 126660 D-Blue in next few years......)

The ceramic SD4K, the steel YM2 and the Milgauss in that order.

To me, definitely the 42mm Polar Explorer II. One of the best watches Rolex makes, in my opinion. I wore one for many years, now I wish I hadn't sold it. The black indices and fat hands, and that orange hand.. Along with the subtle satin finish. I may have to get another one at some point.

Air King. It has everything going for it for a future hottie. Plus it's actually a great looking watch, it grows on you.

YM 116622 platinum dial, 4 years production run. Looks best with a little bit of sunshine.

Current AirKing. It was designed to celebrate the sponsor and partnership of the Bloodhound land speed record attempt, that then went into administration... Rolex then pulled the plug on supplying the dials for the company that then took the attempt over... so this model already has a great back story!!

I agree with Milgauss for modern rolex, funky design and interesting story/complication.

5 digit sea dwellers too.

I think the two tone root beer GMT's are pretty undervalued still.

The 16600 SD, definitely. I also think some of the earlier non spider dial WGS transitional models have a lot of potential as well.
