Vintages experts, please help.

Hi everyone,

Just bought a Tissot Seastar from a local watch dealer, he said the watch was a safe queen. I did not bite that, but liked the watch, so i have bought it.

As usual a purchase of vintage watch is always a surprise, and this watch has a lot of thing that does not seems right. I'am not an expert, so need some help.

1º - The watch still glows in the dark. Was reading this can happen if the tritium layer is thick and there is a number of factors that along the time took place to form a perfect condition for the glow.

2º - The watch hands looks new in my opinion, anyone knows if these are the correct hands?

3º - The Tissot name on the Dial is not very well done, missing some ink on letter I, was this repainted?

4º - I can see the case and bracelet was polished, very well done in my opinion, would this affect the watch value that much?

5º - Is there anything alse "strange" on this watch in your opinions?

Thank you!

I don't think its been got at but it may have been refurb at so time in its history, have a look on google images for comparisons,

I have a newer Tissot Seastar 2011 and its a real work horse.
