Explorer 124270 - wave like reflections from center of dial

Hello.

Took delivery of a new 124270 a few days ago. I notice that in the very center of the black dial, when the dial reflects the light in a certain way, there’s a circular wave pattern in the reflections originating from the center and a few millimeters outwards. It’s quite noticable once you are aware of it. I believe it might be because the dial is slightly recessed around the axis.

This isn’t too easy to get a photo of. Could anyone with the 124270 have a quick look and see if you notice the same with yours?

Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the circular ring surrounding the centre pivot joining the hands in this photo (source Hondikee):

If you are talking about the slight round indentation where the hand stack is that normal reflections .

Thanks, no need to worry then. The centre dial part on the photo above looks way worse than mine, so I guess I’m lucky.

Both my Rolex watches have the same, a sub and a GMT II. Quite normal behaviour.
