Horofix Springbar pliers or Bergeon 7825

$89 for the Horofix or $149 for the Bergeon.

Is one easier or better than the other?

The Bergeon 7825 is easier to work with and a better tool in my opinion

Not even close IMO. The Bergeon is superior and worth the extra money. I have both.

I have both and prefer the Bergeon as well.

The Bergeon 7825 is designed like a tweezer. The Horofix tool is a copy of the Bergeon 6825, which is more like pliers. Google and you’ll understand.

Spend the extra bucks and get the Bergeon. I had both. Sold the Horofix on EBay.

Looks like it's unanimous.

Just looking to delve a little deeper into, the answers above.

Why/ what makes the Bergeron better?

The tweezers suck. A regular spring bar tool is just as good if not better.

OK, for the price I thought it was the Bergeon plier that was being compared and not the plier to tweezer comparison. I understand now.

And yet, actual tweezers go for $0.75 at the store. They're making some mad money on it.

As you can see the Horofix is complicated looking and IMO has a lot of unnecessary design parts.

The Bergeon is simple but works perfectly every time.

I'd add that not only did the Horofix tip break the first time I ever tried to use it but the tip breaking scratched that watch. Just an over huge disappointment to me.

To be fair to Horofix, they offer a tool very similar to the 7825 for way less money:

This one also seems to come with literally 6 replacement tips since they can be unscrewed and reversed, whereas the Bergeon only has the 2 it comes with and replacement is $80 for a pair. This one looks identical to the Bergeon one. If I had known this Horofix one existed I probably would have tried it first before I got the Bergeon.

I bought these after reviews on another forum said they were just as good as the Bergeron 7825. I liked these better because the tips are angled. I have only used them once so far but it worked great.

You have both of the tweezer types? Or the 7825 and the Horofix plier type?

To me it seems the Horofix tweezer type is the same as 7825 but better value?

Ummm I'm going to go against bergeon here, while they have great tools, the tweezers are a rip off. The horofix are tweezers like the bergeon. The horofix is better imo because they have reversible tips and have a pair included. The bergeon replacement tips is $80 and only has one side.

They literally are the same for a fraction of the price

I bought a pair $47 spring bar pliers off Amazon and they work fine. They remove the spring bar just as well as anything else.

Sure the Bergeon will be better quality, and if I was swapping bracelets and straps all the time, I'd probably spring for it, but honestly, they both do the same exact job. For me, I remove my bracelet every so often to deep clean the watch and thats it. No need to drop $150 in my case.
