Thanks for that. Tiffany sued them as well, but won. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.usa.../amp/568129001 I don’t see why people get all worked up about this. To the point of about one new thread a month. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Costco is very reputable. I bought a laptop there and a week later, on the costco site it was about 40 bucks less, went back to the store and they refunded the difference. Then a few weeks later, there was another reduction in price I think due to a manufacturers coupon for that item. I went back and they adjusted he price again.

I have heard some horror stories with broken watches from Grey sellers who offered their own warranty instead of Rolex's. I would less worry about Costco since it is such a huge company with great protection policy. If anything goes wrong, I feel that they will cover it.

In some cases yes. But not everyone is aware that better pricing might be available and might not know where to look. Take for instance the 116618LB priced ar my costco for 25999.00 that is actually a very fair price .

The problem with Costco is lack of selection. When they do have any Rolexes, they only have one or two of varying models so you have to get lucky in finding the one you want at the time you want to buy.

Why wouldn’t there be a Rolex warranty? Of course there would be. Also, I was fully aware Costco was not an AD and in no way was it advertised as such. If you’re worried about Costco “hurting the brand”....there’s a whole lot worse out there. By the way, there was a Panerai LUMINOR 1950 (I believe) next to it....soooo...there’s equal “hurting of brands” going on.

I did purchase a Rolex from local Costco; ultimately returned it for different watch @ AD. Yes, I was given grief @ AD re: authenticity etc. Two of three locations in my area regularly get inventory of varied luxury brands. They give their business card explaining policy. No release of books, warranty card or serial #. Return policy is forever... They wrote me a refund check on the spot. Also, consider $ back @ yrs. end w/executive membership.

Well think about it this way. The 116618 is probably about 35000 ftom an AD and you need to ask for a discount. Some buyers will, some wont, some take no for an answer. Some dealers might give 15% some dealers might give 20 some might only say 10. So let's say you get a 20% discount. So that brings the cost of the watch to $28,000 plus tax from the ad. And you get your five year warranty. Now if you bought that same watch from Costco for $26,000 plus tax you would have saved a few thousand dollars. If by chance something were to go wrong with that costco purchased watch in the first 5 years and you send it back to Rolex for repair rather than taking it back to Costco, let's say the repair cost you $1,000 you still saved money and now you have a two year repair warranty from Rolex. To me, it is still a win-win situation.

Thank you HogwldFLTR for the clarification. I was simply repeating what I was told w/return. I've seen. DJ41's & a RG Sky-Dweller. Given the release date(s) of those watches, an informed buyer should have no qualms about servicing needed. However, I'd ask if a return is possible w/in 5 yr. time frame for any defects. Who knows?

This is fitting...
I normally see platinum DDs and two tone DJs/GMTs at my local Costco. Last night, I saw a 26mm Oyster Perpertual and bought it for my wife. Positive experience. * Fair price (20% off sticker + No sales tax + 2% executive cash back + 2% credit card cash back). * Watch was fully stickered, and found no hairline scratches even using 10x loupe. * Manager gave excellent customer service. * No Rolex card but covered under their satisfaction policy meaning full refund at any time. Confirmed by their manager. * Wife is happy, I am happy, and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy from them again. Pics to come later. |

Well, the White Gold GMT II BLRO selling at $25900 is a good price for brand new condition. AD are selling them over $30,000 after discount and TS on the forum are selling used ones for around $23000+.

Their site has a gold AP Royal Oak for sale, a diamonded Cartier Tank, and a gold SkyD on leather; after that the next highest watch price is $240 (approx.).

Costco is the best. I would have no question buying a Rolwx from Costco. I've bought a couple Omega there without problem.
If I ever buy another new car it will be from Costco too. |

You guys are tripping yes they do have broken watches they do not set time or date at Costco it’s not until the customers get it that they find out hey the date wheel is broken. You guys don’t know me so don’t say I just made it up. I’m very close to someone who works at a ad and not because I buy watches from him I know him in the outside world. He says breitling as well come with broken date wheels. Don’t shoot the messager that’s deplorable #makeTheRolexForumsGreatAgain
