SS spring bars in 18kt watch?

Will SS spring bars hurt 18kt gold lugs in any way if they fit properly?

Thanks

After reviewing this I think the bars are fine once installed but the tips will scratch the inside of the gold lugs as they slide around into the holes.

Curious if the steel on gold will cause internal hole wear if used for a long period of time.

It does. But it's subject to how loose you wear the watch etc.,, but even cheap gold plated spring bars will mitigate this by giving you gold to gold contact. You don't have to go full 18K.

I would not. There is a reason why these come in gold.
Not worried about scratching but more about the harder steel wearing out the lug holes eventually leaving ill fitting end links.

That may take years but it’s a small price to avoid that from happening.

It is odd we shouldn't considering TT bracelets have steel against gold.
