So they built a clown watch that is easier to set..

You're paying for the day date complication but not using it.. at least rebuild the movement to make it random or on a different scale.

If proceeds go toward autism research, I’m good with it. If not, it’s hideous and makes no sense, even as a novelty.

"rolex is too conservative and never does anything fun, creative, or different. i hate that."

"rolex is straying from its traditional, proven, classic ways with this silly stuff. i hate that."

while not my style, or something i would ever buy or wear, i personally love when brands like rolex do these things. i'm sure there are plenty of people who will love 'em, want 'em, and buy 'em up. luxury goods designed for people with lots of disposable income are perfect canvases for this kind of playful stuff. bravo!

(and especially excellent if indeed it's around raising awareness for a good cause!)

Lol it is so funny to me how on earth this bothers people! Would I buy it? Nope. Do I think it is “woke” whatever the heck that means? Nope. Some people like to buy unique items. Just like the new OP, etc. It is nice to see some different creations once in awhile.

Wow, this is reeeeeeally going to be an interesting piece and very glad Rolex released it. Am sure my wife would love one, yet funds are not as deep....

FYI the rate of Autism among USA children has escalated from 1 in 150 during 2002 to a staggering 1 in 36 in 2020(!) according to the CDC. Yes we can 'better' detect it, yet still this is a situation that needs attention (and help).

I love this watch, it's refreshing. I hope some funds are going to autism, that would be amazing.

+1.

Its nice that Rolex is doing something to draw attention to autism, but I can bet top $ that most common folk will never be able to own one. This thing will be given to celebs, elites and those who define genres and pop culture.

The vast, VAST majority of people will never even have the opportunity to purchase one of these at an AD (me included), but if ever had the funds and the opportunity, I would absolutely jump on it!!!
So refreshing to see this, and you can be sure that other brands will follow suit…

Agree and the message of 'Happy’, 'Eternity’, ‘Gratitude', 'Peace', 'Faith’, Love' and 'Hope' is refreshing.

I read the Rolex pimping of these new watch face designs. Not one word suggests that there is a connection with Autism support.

How is this watch woke? Even if it funds autism research, that isn't woke. Idiots using words they don't really understand.

And rightly so. Resources wasted in these clown projects are resources diverted from the manufacturing of highly demanded sports watches. But Rolex is fully aware of this, evidently.

If it did, that'd be a noble goal. Funding medical science is respectable.

But a Ctrl+F in their press/marketing release doesn't even return the word "autism" 🙄
