New & Old LV side by side

Here is side by side photo for the LV submariner introduced 2020 (on the left) & the latest one introduced 2 days ago at Watches &wonders 2023

I grabbed the pictures for the new LV from the Rolex website & luckily I had a screenshot for the old one also from Rolex website

It’s clear the bezel green color is different

Do you guys think that the previous one will be a collectible piece ?

Should we give the new release a different name other than Starbucks or cermit ?

Yea the new nickname should be "green bezel submariner date" just like the last versions.

Which is which?
Old vs New or New vs Old?
Unless it's just the rendering, it means Rolex has already made an MK2 insert for the 12 series LV.

In the photo, the LV on the right has issues on the dial, starting just before the 10 marker till almost the 1 marker.
My guess is it's a rendering error.

You have posted screenshots of two rendered images. They cannot be considered representative to enable any form of comparison unfortunately.

Look at the dials in your picture. The one on the right with what appears a different bezel is dark grey. The image has been manipulated.

I've evened up the dials below. Look what happens to the bezel on the left.

It is easy and definitive to tell if they are different. What is the model number of the old LV and the model number of the new one?

Nobody is going to be able to tell until someone gets a new LV in their hands. It will be impossible to tell when you have just one watch. Which is why this isn’t going to be “collectible”

Supposed to look like a shadow of the rehaut in the rendering probably.

The one on right looks like a matte dial to boot. Definitely need to see real life pics like we did with BLRO to determine there were indeed 9 versions (or was a 3?)

Model number of the 126710BLRO has remained the same, but the Pepsi insert colors have changed 3 times: MK1, MK2, MK3.

Same with the 11 Series Submariner 116610LV Hulk dial becoming a tad bit darker: MK1 to MK2 and the 116613LB Bluesy dial going from matte to sunburst.

I would have made the green darker, not lighter on the new model.

My thoughts exactly. New version looks like it has a mette dial.

You can't judge colour on these computer renderings
