Icon19 Just across the line for a white dial Daytona as new models are inbound for dealers

I have been waiting 2 years for the white dial Daytona. They sold me a BLRO about 2 years ago, so I wasn't holding my breath for more of that sort of luck.

It seems that the new model release may have freed up a few models in the safe. I asked the AD why the sudden availability and he said many people further up the magic list were emailing to ask for the new model instead so my name eventually became the next in line.

It's a brilliant watch. I don't mind the new configuration with the silver ring around the bezel but this was the model I was anticipating and I'm really pleased. Never has being further down the list been such an advantage.

Big congrats, that’s unbelievable that people are passing on this for the new model. Right place right time (on the list) for you. Now go buy a lottery ticket!

Nice, yeah I got a feeling people are not going to like that new ring around the bezel in real life.

Good story and good choice. I’m not a big believer that ADs hoarde watches but I would suspect they may get some bonus allocations to clear out the distributor’s shelves for the new release.

Congratulations! I’m sure the new 126 will be great, but I was fortunate enough to get both white and black from my AD over the past 18 months and love them both!
No intention of seeking out the new ones at this point…enjoy!

Great pickup!
Better now than another 2 years on the line for the new one.
Good choice for the “old” model :)

Glad you got it. I may be biased but also realistic and I prefer this over the new Subtona.

we are in similar boats... I picked up my white dial 116500 on Monday. I feel it's the better suited of the two. New one has some good updates, and I'm sure they'll sell like hot cakes. But the latest and greatest isn't always that. This 116500 just seems like a more cohesive design to my eyes. But you really can't go wrong with either one. Congrats on the pick up. Wear it well!
