Anyone know anything about this Rolex?
I inherited a Rolex from my grandmother. I know nothing about watches. after googling a bit I came to the conclusion that this watch must be "cocktail watch lady" and model 1968, I think. in 1995 the watchmaker estimated the value of the watch at 5k. the watch is in white gold with a sapphire crystal. anyone know something like old rolex watches? is this a good collector's item, and what could either of the watches possibly be today?
the watch is almost exactly like this one and I think it may be the same model |

There are thousands of Ladies Cocktail Watches out there and they all look similar but many do not have a corresponding reference number.
Folks can brag about an "appraisal" on these heirlooms, but they are almost non-marketable. My daughter has one that belonged to her grandmother. She likes to put it on when going formal for the night, but it seldom sees any other wrist time. They are simply a nice piece of jewelry to keep in the family.

Today - If it is - white gold ? - Scrap value will be higher than the watch value. |
