Movement is very good and highly regarded in the industry. It’s the movement Tudor is using in its Black Bay chronograph.

The general consensus is that the list price is a little too high as competing watches in that bracket have better credentials (or marketing - you decide). Getting a good discount at this early stage of the lifecycle might be tough, but if you want it now that’s the price you have to pay.

It is extremely easy to get a discount off of the MSRP. Every new release that Breitling has developed under Kearns leadership is readily available in grey market dealers. That being said, AD's are already packing them up and sending them out the back door.

My advice is to go to your AD, check out the Premier, decide which watch you want and then start calling AD's. I doubt it will take you very long to find one who is willing to do 20%. If you need to have it right away then you might pay MSRP, but no reason you should, watch will be around for awhile.

I would search at grey dealers market for discounted rate. Would not pay more that 5,000 for this watch. IWC Pilot Chrono is a better choice IMHO even though I am Breitling fan and have 4 of them.

I'm not seeing any Breitling Premiers being advertised through watchrecon yet. If you have a grey market source for these please share it.

At $5K, could you pick one up for me?

Authentic Watches has them listed for 25% off at the moment. Not in stock yet though, so I guess a "preorder" type of scenario

My bad, should have qualified it with the word "previously"!

I would say give it a bit and they will be available. The new Navitimer 8 with B01 moment is already on sale at over 25% off!

If you read what he said he would not pay more than 5K, not that he could buy it for 5K!

The issue that I am attempting to bring to light is that the "New" leadership at Breitling has done little to bring the grey market under control. Regardless of whether you like the new designs or not, Breitling does not seem willing to address the grey market which impacts not only the image of the company, but the resale of its watches. The leadership will continue to ship watches so that they can say overall sales are up. Unfortunately, they are being sold to distributors who flood the grey market when they are unable to sell them to the watch consumer!

I was offered over 20% from my AD. Granted, not much over that -- but I have bought quite a bit from there. I went with the new superocean heritage chrono in 46mm (wrists are 7.5) -- looks great! Also has the same movement from my for Bentley in 44 that I have had for 7 years. Will probably need servicing at some point but so far it's still holding time nearly perfect to the day I bought it.

I will pick up a Rolex at some point but don't like the idea of paying above MSRP for a basic SS sub. Until then my collection will sit with a Panerai (PAM 232), and 2x Breitlings.
