Catch, release, undo...

You've heard of catch and release. Well I started a "catch and release" with this freshly serviced blue dial Breitling Headwind watch, but when my offline buyer failed to deliver the funds I started wearing this Breitling all weekend.

I then realized that it's the perfect watch to keep. It's comfortable for weekend/non-office usage. The leather strap keeps the larger size comfortable on my skinny frame. I never wear larger watches, but the large bezel and medium sized blue dial make this watch seem smaller on the wrist (I hate to ask, does this watch look too big, because I just like it). My best case watch size is around 38mm, this beast is 43mm...!

So I am glad that the sale didn't go through. Now I have another watch in my collection that includes a day date function. With vintage Rolex prices hitting such high numbers I'm glad that I can still find low cost and interesting watches I enjoy.

Another friend has a Breitling Colt, smaller with a black dial and complete bracelet- I may just pick it up as well, and not release it this time...

Doesn't look overly large. The headwind was one of the first Breitling's that I purchased many years ago. Great watch!

Hey thanks, given the 43mm, this watch should wear much larger, but I'm glad it fits the way it does.
