Rolex 15000

I'm being offered a Rolex 15000, with a silver dial but without a bracelet, for USD $1200. The watch seems to be in reasonable condition but there's some rust corrosion and minor pitting on the case threading. However, I've been told, by the shop offering it for sale, that with a new set of gaskets the watch would still be water proof.

My questions with regard to the watch are as follows:
  • Is the watch being offered for a fair price, sans bracelet?
  • Is it possible to buy a new oyster bracelet for this particular model and at what price? If not, what is the price and availability of second hand bracelets or other alternatives?
  • Are there any remedial measures that could be taken for the rust?

I'll try to take some pics and post it tomorrow.

Thanks.

I think the 3035 movement costs above 1k, its not a bad deal imo.

The price is fair. It's nice having the quickset date feature, although the pitting is a bit of a bummer. But overall a nice watch. I don't think you'll lose money if you ever got rid of it.

And the bracelet would be a 78350 bracelet. I know there was one without endlinks for $300 shipped in the parts for sale section here. Which is a good deal, I almost bought it for my 1500
