Rolex 1655 Explorer II Help

Hello all,

I would kindly ask for those with experience in this particular model to chime in and I would welcome any and all opinions. The pictures aren't the best and there are only 2, but from my research I can ascertain that it has a MK III bezel and either a MK IV or MK 5 dial.

If anyone can make out the MK of the dial, I would appreciate an estimated year of production so I can compare with the serial number. The bracelet looks from post-80's so my amateur guess is that its around 81-83...

Many thanks beforehand for any insights!

Cheers

Needs to be in the WatchOut section, IMO.

Looks like a MK IV dial, so serial number should be higher than 5mil. Case looks to be heavily polished.

Bracelet clasp appears fake.

Compare your pictures to pictures of other 1655's here from trusted sellers. At a minimum, the clasp is fake. Possibly more.

Hi

I have a 1655.

The pics are bloody awful (no insult intended but we need more clarity and detail) and I would say the dial and hands look good as does the bezel.

The main body looks over polished but the pic is not good enough to say one way or the other. An over polished body can be improved quite a bit but it would not be perfect.

The clasp is definitely dodgy but that's no big deal and easily corrected.

Regards

Mick

Thanks Mick. I agree the pics are poor, they are the ones originally sent by the owner. I'm going to try and see it this weekend and take some better pics myself. Thanks for your opinion on the watch.

Cheers
