Snoopy and Hesalite

So, if given the chance to get a Snoopy, but you need to purchase a 3861 also, would you do it?

I’m thinking that is worth it even though it would be going over my beginning of year budget!

I’ve almost bought a Speedy several times but never pulled the trigger.

I think it is time!

An AD informed me that their customer had to purchase a bundle consisting of two solid gold watches, one of which was a Hublot, along with the Snoopy. The total cost of the bundle was over $50k, in addition to the retail cost of the Snoopy

I would need to understand time frames of the delivery of the Snoopy after the purchase of the 3861. If it is open and this just gets you on a list, I would not.

I agree with this.

If I could pick them both up together tomorrow, I probably would. If I had to buy the 3861 now with no idea about when the Snoopy MAY arrive, I would think twice about the deal.

Having had a Snoopy 3 for a while now, my wife and I have found that we don't wear it as much as I thought we would. My wife's daily wearing is a Snoopy 2 and she describes that as more of a serious watch and the Snoopy 3 is a bit of a novelty watch! I prefer the 3 to the 2, but I agree that it's a bit of a novelty and hype watch, but I also fully accept that this is easy to say when you have one already!

If it's guaranteed and they come together then yes in a heartbeat. I'm surprised a hesalite 3861 is all you need to get a Snoopy... were you told this by a boutique? My local boutique told me I need to spend at least $50-$60K to jump the Snoopy queue.

If you can, then probably, even though this generally goes against my principals in watch buying. Does it have to be hesalite? That would be the one issue for me if the plan was to keep it as I prefer sapphire.

It could be sapphire, I just like the bracelet and the history of the hesalite better. Personal preference.

Thanks

That's a no-brainer...the 3861 makes for a great daily while the Snoopy enjoys special attention.

Consider yourself very lucky, people had to spend tons of money and wait 2-3 years to get one. Enjoy

I would if you want the snoopy, that’s not a bad deal overall! I actually got lucky w the text yesterday & picked up mine since I was on their list Nov 2020. I never get lucky like this other than the Sub I got from same AD in 2021. Luck of the Irish Friday.

Obviously, your Ad is charging you full retail for the Hesalite 3861. Most ADs have a pretty hefty discount on those so that's probably the reason you are not required to buy a PM or more expensive watch.

Enjoy......I see you did it in your latest thread!!!!

He is also my Rolex AD and has been very fair to me so I have no complaints whatsoever. I have almost pulled the trigger several times on the speedy but this was the proper time. It is great to have a good AD!

Absolutely! Buy both, Moonwatch on a bracelet and if you don’t like it sell without the bracelet. :)
