My PAM 00512 has a P900/1 manual movement which doesn't hack either. No biggie, it was never intended as to be a precision timing instrument. Luckily it looks great.

New W&W release video… @6 mins Alexander talks about a “new execution” of the P.900 movement. Going forward it will be decorated again and get hacking seconds.

Again I just don’t get how Panerai thought they can get away with not decorating the movement before. They must of got a lot of negative feedback.

PANERAI should do the right thing and give current owners the opportunity to swap for the new P900 movement.

I know I expected ‘hacking’ seconds on the 1226.

It's crazy that they would do that without saying anything. Especially while selling to a customer base like us. You think they thought we wouldn't notice?

Just bought a PAM 1386 with P.900 movement. Non hacking unless you back the mobement up by holding the minute hand backwards.

That's not an "unless". That's non hacking.

Just picked up a new Luminor Quaranta 01372. No hacking seconds with this P.900 movement.

Beautiful watch though! I have last years version(1272) which is the same.

I mentioned in another thread that while frustrating and wrong for the movement to be undecorated, it's mostly academic as 99% of us will never see it anyway.

More importantly, after about 3 weeks of ownership, my P.900 based Pam 1272 has kept EXCELLENT time. Personally I prefer that, but we deserve both for what we paid.

My P.5002 (8 day with power reserve on dial) from 2018, purchased in 2020, hacks.
