First Panerai PAM510
Hello all.
I recently purchased my first manual wind Panerai. The booklet states to wind “until it stops” how many clockwise turns does the Eight Day movement require? I stopped at 75 partial turns.

First congratulations, I hope you enjoy it
I’m not familiar with this specific reference but with an 8 day pr, my guess is that you’ll need 100+ winds till it “stops” I own a Panerai with manual wind P3000 with a 3 day pr, and I can turn it over 100 “normal winds” which is to say not full 360 degree turns of the crown. I don’t like to wind any manual watch till it hit the stopping point however. I prefer to wind until I feel the resistance build and until I see crown “feedback”, meaning … the crown will turn slightly backwards with more resistance after each wind. YMMV |

120-ish or so, it takes me 2 minutes to wind my 914 (also 8 days PR, P5000 movement).
And it actually lasts almost 11 days, not 8. :) |
