At the end of day, nobody wants to get sick but, if you did get sick, it doesn't matter how nice your surroundings are, it's about the quality of care! That's exactly what was going through our minds in Egypt!

Sri Lanka has one of the WORLDS LOWEST MORTAITY RATES with 7 Deaths so far with this pandemic with restrictions going to be lifted on us the 11th of May and hopefully then we can see about tickets back to the doom and gloom of NW Ohio. Health care here is pretty top notch if you got the bucks to pay for it..:) You need the cash...

I’ve been stranded at Walmart waiting for a ride, which was basically pretty harrowing.

Well after 235 days on The Emerald isle and a 48 hour journey from Colombo to Detroit we are back in NW Ohio where this is going to take a little bit getting use to..

Airline Crew on Qatar Airlines looked like a crew out of the movie GHOSTBUSTERS and no idea how they could wear those outfits for a 15 hour flight from Doha to Chicago..WOW

A guy with whom I work took a 1 month vacation to Brazil (his homeland). It got "extended" to almost 4 months. He just got back this past weekend.

A neighbor is "self-quarantining" in St. Croix. He has a vacation/investment/rental property there. He works in NYC but can do so remotely, so on the beach he remains.

Glad you finally made it, that was a very long 'holiday'

Only thing that matters now is to be careful until a vaccine is ready

I am from USA, but retired in Malaysia, so not exactly stranded. Low number of cases here. I certainly have no desire to travel back to the states, or anywhere, anytime soon.

Same except I live in Japan.

I'm somewhat trapped here. If I leave I cannot return. Even though I have the proper visa. So say I went back home to visit family. As it stands now I would not be allowed to return back to where I live here in Japan.

If I left, it would involve obtaining documents from US embassy and permission from local police for the required interstate travel to the airport. Returning would require testing, more embassy documents and 14 day quarantine. A lot of hassle and expense for not much gain. FaceTime is much cheaper.

Fortunately I am not stuck. Me and my family booked a trip to Italy after reding a blog, read this if you are also interested, and we all were very excited about that... But then every country started closing, we decided to get refund and now we are waiting the right moment to book again. We were supposed to be there in April 2020, but probably we will be there next April
