Yes I like the watch. I’m just skeptical about the date wheel and everything I read online

The GMT is a great watch and has a very cool retro styling that looks good on a bracelet, NATO or leather. I currently own the watch and have not had any issues with it. I did get it on a trade out with my AD on a GMT that did have the date issue. He just took it back and gave me a new one. The discount is nice and you will enjoy ownership if you like the style and size of the watch. Go for it.

Hell no.

That watch has a defective movement b/c the date malfunction.

Go checkout the poll on WUS. Nearly 50% of the owners have the date defect.

Sold mine months after ownership and never looked back.

I love the watch and want to pull the trigger and I like everyone’s opinion( but I see a lot of skepticism from Bose who say no)

Man, if you really love the watch but let some random guys' opinion on an internet watch forum keep you from doing so, you're making a mistake.

It's a great watch, one of my favorites in my collection.

Yes.

I had the date issue. It was fixed under warrant. No problem since. It's a fantastic watch and I would buy it again.

Wow you managed a discount on this piece. Nice going.

Yes go for it. Comes with a 5 year warranty now so you are covered for a while if the issue pops up. It's a really awesome watch at a good price.

And to answer your other questions, I recently encountered the date issue. Had the watch about a year and a half before it happened. It has gotten stuck between days twice. I simply just the hour hand and reset it and it operates fine.

I will get the movement serviced eventually but I'm not in a huge hurry since the watch still functions fine.

There is plenty of these GMTs now in Tudor ADs... pretty frequently found discounted imho... Just have to look at the right places.

I guess you're right. I wouldn't know about any other AD but my own. I have literally never seen one in their case. The person I work with said every one they get is gone before it reaches the case. They are a higher volume store however.

Mine came from the AD safe back in September 2019, and they have yet to hit the display case in my area. It’s a stunning piece- truly the best of both worlds between five and six digit Rolex influence.

Do I wish it were a little thinner? Sure, but the comfort is still great. Not that I care in any way, but it’s the only piece I own, among five and six digit Rolex, that consistently draws compliments. There’s certainly something about it that photos can’t effectively convey.

Agree with this. Majority of folks don’t post on these forums about their perfectly functioning watch. They will however post about issues.

I’ve had my BB GMT for 17 months. No issues at all. If you like it buy it. It’s a good deal, especially on a bracelet.

I think it’s a good looking, quality watch.

What’s the issue with the date?

I love mine. No date issue so far, but even if it did, I'd just reset and keep going. I think if you like the look of the watch, you should go for it.

I wouldn't. I would have bought one ages ago if it weren't for the date wheel issue. That really makes me wonder why I'm spending so much money on a watch that has such a history of problems.

This made my day (I'm not being sarcastic either, I am a psych/philosophy student and I enjoy when others use the language with me)! I am falling subject to the availability AND representative heuristics.

However, I feel the risk/reward is still pulled toward not buying it. One ALSO can't assume that the other owners not posting on the forum aren't also experiencing this issue. I think in this instance, it's safer to play the data you have access to. Many heuristics turn out to be useful and the regret of not taking advantage of "a great deal" is seldom as strong as we thought it would be.

!5% discount from MSRP on Tudor Blackbay is a fair deal from an AD. I think you should go for it if you like it.

Lol. Given your post, I thought you would get the reference. But I get it though your plunking down good money for these things and they should have worked out the bugs before the release and given their connection to Rolex, they should know how to get a gmt/date function right.
