Any ballpoint users?
I’m new into pen collecting and using “nicer” pens. I’m a lefty and have already decided that most if not all of my pens will be ballpoints. Less fuss and they don’t smear which is nice. I own several brands already such as Retro 51, Pelikan, Lamy and Parker. I just today ordered my first nicer pen, a S T DuPont D Initial in Duotone. I’m very very excited to get it and continue my pen journey.
So are there any other people that prefer a ballpoint or maybe carry one occasionally? |

I am also a lefty and prefer ballpoint. I have used a Montblanc Meisterstuck for over a decade. I don't use pens much so I am a one pen type of guy but I do appreciate seeing a nice collection of them.

I’m sure I’ll try a fountain pen out at some point but still new to collecting. That Pilot gets a lot of mentions I see on pen forums. Might need one

Waterman pens are some of the best ballpoints I've used. They start as soon as they hit the paper. Not all ballpoints do in my experience. I like the Hemisphere line although they are a little thin.

The Montegrappa ballpoints, the Caran d'Ache Varius and Ecridor ballpoints. I usually like to find sterling silver ballpoints. I like polishing the silver. Good luck finding what you like. Also, I have found the Monteverde refills for the above, always to be better and less expensive.

I got the pen yesterday and didn’t take photos. I sent it back today as there was an issue with it. Should have the replacement next week. I was a little surprised it had an issue to be honest but it happens

Funny, because I am a lefty too. But I learned also to write with my right. You see I am 82 and in the old days we had to learn with our right. But I am also able to right with my left.
As a design engineer I learn even to draw on the drawing board with my left and right with my right hand. Because of being left and right I was faster than other designers. I do collect also ball pens and have 8, like Pelikan, Waterman, Parker, Conklin, and an Italian. |

I bought one of these for my wife, and she loves it. The way it operates is very cool. The entire pen flexes to expose the ballpoint.
