Limited Editon (100 pieces) Heuer Carrera by The Rake - thoughts?

So an admitted / blatant homage to the HODINKEE LE Skipper collaboration with Mr. Biver from a couple of years ago.

Revolution founder Wei Koh introduced this Watch on an episode of Talking Watches.

Love the blue dial...and 38mm size. And NO TAG branding. Just Heuer.

Price is $5,900 if you have an invite to buy.

Comes with a perforated leather strap and two Natos.

It’s a great looking piece, but I wouldn’t pay $5900 for it.

That’s about what the HODINKEE collab went for.

Agree it’s steep for a new Heuer. But man, they nailed the styling / no date dial... And that blue!

As others have said about the price (but I don't think it's very over priced either). But man...that is one hell of a good looking chrono. And 38mm is a great size too. Really liking this a lot.

Like Revolution and Wei Koh, but you can pick up an entry level Rolex in that price range.

I feel similarly about the price...but boy, Vintage Heuers are through the roof nowadays...

Production is limited to 100. So you won’t see many - if any - in the wild. That has some appeal.

Not a fan of Tag-branded Heuers...but this no Tag logo model - and some of their reissues - are sweet.

True... But I don't want one of those.

Cool watch.
As far as LE goes 100 is a respectable number to be a meaningful LE.

As far as the price, it’s a well executed and unique piece. Price is high but I can see the argument.

Yes. TBH, the LE aspect is just a nice to have.

Love the overall look - and I do think the blue dial pops.
