Dear Mods... Can we consider a new sub forum?

Hear me out guys.

TRF loves cars and motor sports...... big time!
Lots of threads here regarding cars that take up the open forums.

If we had a dedicated section I’m sure their will be even more posts with everyone else’s favorite passion.

Maybe I’m the only one that feels this way, but if other members are down please chime in

I agree, though our administration doesn’t seem to be very receptive to new ideas. 99% of them are shut down and the only one that I recall being implemented is the Seiko sub forum.

I personally like the mix of topics on the open forum, compared to a splintered set of sub-forums. It keeps things varied and interesting, and I’ve learned a bunch stumbling into threads I might not otherwise have.

So what were the 99 ideas that got 'shut down'?

I prefer to just use the 'new posts' button and have a mix of threads.

As for the "99% of new ideas being shut down by the moderators"?

When did this happen?

I recall a few requests but they were so insignificant I can't remember what they were about.

If the car guys get one then Steve and I want one for motorcycles.

I like the car threads but if there was a strictly automotive forum I suspect I would miss out on the other, interesting topics.

I tend to agree. Cars are great but there are excellent dedicated forums like rennlist, 6speed, fchat etc.

Segmentation doesn’t always benefit the consumer.

That is gold!!

Now more popular than cars is 'food' which everyone can enjoy, its part of ones culture and its such a great topic. We even have a free to air TV channel for food it is that popular. But alas, I'll turn on the TV now...

Instead of a car forum I much rather have a little arrow at the bottom of a long thread that says: "to the top".

Scrolling up on the side in a thread that has endless of repeat pictures gets old pretty quick.
