Last year total was: 117,000 miles. Executive Platinum status on American Airlines

This year probably the number will be a little less, but should still be over 100,000.

Maybe 50,000 to 60,000 or so. We go back and forth between our places often.

I average about a 100,000 miles a year and have been doing so for many years. Danny, you mentioned you're flying on Alaska Airlines, that's my preferred airlines too. In fact I'm a million miler with them, great airline.

501,254 over the last three years leading up to becoming self employed. (According to my airline apps) don’t know how to look it up by year.

I’m lucky if I do 25k in a year now.

Way too much, 60K, Skyteam Platinum but really hate flying.
Lucky that my employer allows BC, but the hassle with security, so much silly rules, poor hygiene in the plane, brrrrrr.

70K this year. After becoming very sick and nearly dying to a nasty bug while traveling last August, my flying days are officially over. As a matter of fact I still have a long recovery ahead. Heck I'm not even leaving my country anymore.

As close to zero as possible. If it's 12 hours or less by car, I don't even check airfares.
Flying US carriers is disgusting.

Hate the whole process of commercial flying and try to avoid it at all costs. A major reason why I left my previous job. I enjoy being home every night to see my kids and put them to bed.

Two of my best friends travel weekly for work. One of them internationally and has hit 2MM miles before he was 35. Hardly ever sees his wife and kids. Now he does have some amazing status/points so it really helps up the status of our guys golf/fun trips.

Correction he's 35 and at 2.5MM miles and already done over 200K this year.

About 120K. Been 1K for about a decade now. It sucks even with status.

Over the last 2 years I’ve been flying around 40-50k per year on Air Canada. Hope the frequent travellers applied for their Nexus / TSA Pre Check. I would say it’s a must for anyone that travels a lot and especially if they travel through some of the larger airports.

Hardly at all since I retired almost 5 years ago. Before that, I was in the air quite a bit. I'm a Million Miler on United. Now I fly Jet Blue to FLL or PBI and United BC once a year to London (IAD - LHR). Otherwise, we train, bus, or drive to NYC. I have TSA Pre-Check and Global Entry for when we do fly.

+\- 100k for work. I see no more sparkle to any road warrior badge anymore. More important things in life.

I’m 250K + on commercial and about 200K private. Actual flight miles.
I get over a 1 million frequent flier miles on United each year.

Have been Global Services on United for a long time. Flew to Milan on Monday where I am now and it was my birthday and they had a birthday cake and card which I thought was nice.

If you don’t mind, could you share what the sickness was? I am close to two million miles in the last 20 years and routinely do 100K a year, I swear I get sick more often then people who don’t fly and am always concerned.

Sure Paul, not a problem

I got infected with Coxsackievirus-B which caused me severe pericarditis. I was fortunate enough to survive the initial attack and relapses during almost 3 weeks without access to medical care. It could have progressed to myocarditis (and ) during that time but it somehow spared me. The unfortunate part is that I became unresponsive to NSAIDS and now have to undergo a long cortisone treatment and rehab.Thankfully this seems to be working now.
It is a very plausible scenario that I caught this thing on the plane. As I am nearly obsessive with hand washing I believe it could have been in the plane food or from a tainted glass of water. I would avoid eating and drinking on a plane altogether if I ever were to travel again. Packs of crackers and a couple bottles of water will have to do. Plus a potent hand sanitizer.
Stay safe out there
