Thanks all. I think that close up of the crown is a bit much for me. The bezel bothers me because it is easily detectable. I will see if it bothers me during the next month and if so I will go back to the AD. It’s not a huge deal anyway., so maybe I will learn to love my 9k imperfection ;).

I personally would just wait till service time. Why depart with a new watch. Just enjoy it. It's nothing that can't be fixed in service.

Each to their own, once i saw the misalignment my ocd would not let it drop. 2 week turn around and a nice service pouch.

It is slightly off, but it would not bother me. If you need perfect QC, then Grand Seiko is the go to brand.

Rotate the bezel on click in either direction. Is the dot on the bezel aligned with the lime plot and minute marker?

You have every eight to be disappointed. Some may be bother by slight misalignment, others may be bothered by a speck of dust. If it bothers you and it is a manufacture defect, it should be corrected. That’s what product warranty is for.

In this particular case, it will not bother me. However, if the minute track is mis-printed by this much, it would drive me nuts.

Thankfully the minute track looks good to me!

Paralax... No issue... Even if you were able to "fix" it one click to the right, then just imagine how far off the 6 would look at the 15 min. mark?

You gots to chill, buddy... Pics are all about angles--take that pic just slightly from the left, and everything would look off going the other way!

I promise you: Your pics are not perfectly centered. So relax and enjoy.

Progressing with OCD or first world problems?

Nothing is perfect. Not even Rolex.

It’s a millimetre out in that photo but if you don’t have the watch face exactly square on facing the lens of your camera, it will look off.

I bet if you took another photo, it would be fine.

Maybe because some can't accept that there are higher end and better watches than Rolex.

I would never know because I can't afford to go that high up the food chain. I am perfectly happy with Rolex so I feel no need to move on or up.

Well, uh, I just don’t view Rolex as "mid-tier manufacturer." I say that as an owner of both Rolex and Patek Phillipe watches...

Happy to take it off your hands if you can't take it ;)

j/k. Mine was that way too. Slightly off. Nothing noticeable on a regular basis.

Ummm, not really.

Completely agree with OP and other supporting comments. If Seiko, Timex, and Casio can do it, Rolex should too. Crown orientation? Couldn't care less.

That's not even a straight-on view of the watch....look at the thickness of the rehault on the left side vs the right side of the dial. Obviously at this angle everything will be skewed to the left.

Man-o-man. What I find to be laughable is someone referring to Rolex as a “mid-tier manufacturer.” BTW, it wasn’t the OP who stated this. The OPs expectations are a separate issue, and only he can decide if he’s comfortable living with the flaws.

Yes, what you say in explanation is fine. Telling someone their comment is laughable is rude. Why not take a moment and say what you mean.

For example, I’ve read many comments from many people over my past 15 months or so here on TRF who are far more experienced than I, about how the fit and finish of a Rolex doesn’t compare to higher-end watches. Since Rolex is as high as I can consider financially, it’s high end to me. But apparently many do consider it a mid-tier, mass-production brand. That is not “laughable” but a respectable position. Positions can be discussed. Insults cannot.

That’s my point.

My Sub seems to be a bit off until I move it over. My GMT, no issues. Wear it and enjoy.

I honestly have no idea what you just attempted to convey. Anyway, time to say goodbye to this thread. Sorry to offend. Regarding your watch, hoping for a positive outcome OP!

Well, they aren't a top-tier, so I would think mid-tier is an accurate description.
