Milanese Bracelet NTTD.....Uncomfortable??
I recently purchased, (then sold), the NTTD 007 Edition Seamaster with Milanese bracelet. The 2 main reasons were the lack of flexibility, which caused a large gap on the side of my wrist, as well as it being strangely uncomfortable where the clasp closes, as a result of the thickness at that point.
I was so disappointed as I just loved the way the watch, particularly the bracelet, looked. Any other owners have the same issue?? Hopefully, its just me and the rest of you are enjoying this beautiful watch!!!! |

Bummer. I haven't tried one on, but looking at the bracelet and clasp in photos I guess I can imagine this. I don't recall seeing a Milanese bracelet used with the traditional Omega deployant before, and I have wondered about the fit.

I don't think this is just the Milanese bracelet issue. I have similar issues with the Omega deployant clasps where it tucks under and creates a bulge where the clasp closes. I'm thinking of going to Jean Russeau after C19 ends and getting some bespoke straps made to remove the excess leather so there won't be a bulge on the underside.

Really??? I never experienced any discomfort. In fact, I find it most accommodating on my 7-1/2" wrist.

I’ve tried it on as well, the bracelet isn’t exactly user friendly for those who has less than 7 inch wrists, I recon if you ever used the first or second hole from the top, there would be significant overlap on the bracelet and that caused the discomfort, but if your wrist is larger than that, you’ll be fine.

I've bought the Milanese strap for a standard SMP. Love it.

Has anyone tried one of these on a Speedmaster? Wonder if it would fit.

I own the NTTD and have it on the mesh bracelet. This is the second time I owned it and have not had any issue with wear or the clasp. It did take me a minute to figure out which hole to size it to. I have a tendency to wear my watches tight and when I did that with the NTTD it was uncomfortable so I opened it up a hole and all is good.

I guess I am glad that I read this post? Today I am just thinking about selling my new purchased black 300, so I could get the NTTD with mesh bracelet, but my wrist size is 6.5 inches, so I guess I would have same issue? The new stainless 300 with bracelet fits perfectly on my wrist.

I bought a STAIB mesh strap for my old 300. Very comfortable and very inexpensive.

The reduced flexibility stems from the fact that Omega flattens the mesh to give it a different look to most other mesh bracelets. I also have a gap at tonnes on the side of the wrist but it's not an issue really. The gap only appears when you are resting your wrist on something.

Same here. Using a STAIB mesh on my SMP300. Fortunately for me, the size is just right and I didn’t need to resize the mesh. Feels very comfy and looks good too. |

I have a 7in wrist and the watch fits just fine. I think if you have a smaller wrist the bracelet will not work for you.

I have heard from Omega that there is a shorter version of the milanese available.
So this version might solve the fitting issues. |

If you are getting the NTTD from OB they will order the short version for you, there is no additional cost.
I believe an AD will do the same thing. If you want the "short Milanese" as a separate piece I believe the price is around $1300-1400. |

I assume they would exchange the longer bracelet for the short if you already had? It would be a hard pill to swallow having to spend another grand on an already expensive watch.
