Questions about USED Breitlings

I have been looking at getting "another" watch,
The Breitling Super Ocean caught my eye....looks a lot like the my YACHTMASTER that I gave to my son at his College graduation. (Those things have gotten a bit "pricey")
I don't need a brand new one, so looking at used (sorry preowned) I find that the only ones available are from dealers in ...Japan!
They seem to be about $2000, how safe is buying one from them?

It depends on the dealer but I've purchased two Breitling watches from two different brick and mortar dealers in Japan. They sell on both eBay and Chrono24 in many cases.

Buy the seller is the general rule, but for the next watch on my list I'll be pursuing it like the 3 watches I got from sellers in Japan (one was from a private seller and it wasn't a Breitling, couldn't be happier).

Don't forget about Crown & Caliber, they have several SuperOceans. I've done business with them for years and they're fantastic. Here's the main link: https://www.crownandcaliber.com

Here's a link to their SuperOceans: https://www.crownandcaliber.com/coll...ame:SuperOcean

Also check Tourneau/Bucherer's pre-owned Breitling inventory. They have sales every now and then (had a 20% sale two weeks ago, then a 15% sale which ended a few days ago).

The purchase from Japan can take weeks for it to arrive and there may be an additional customs tax to pay. Do you have a picture of the one you're looking for?
