A little about me...
New to the forum and wanted to say "hi."
My name is Jeannie and I live in the southern United States in a 70 year old brick bungalow. I'm 44 years old, married 21 years to the same great guy, and work as an office administrator for a major investment firm. Yes, I know, a secretary who wears a Rolex. Go figure. You can also find me on WUS under the same UserID. About my watches: I currently own a Midsize TT DJ, which I love. I also have a darling 1940s vintage Wadsworth I bought NOS. In addition, a jeweler friend of mine is holding a 1960s vintage 14k & diamond cocktail Rolex for me. I can't have it yet because it's coming from an estate and we're waiting for the estate to settle. It's to be my dress watch. My DJ is my everyday wearer. Looking forward to participating in the forum. I hope that I will be able to add something of value to the discussions. Jeannie |

Welcome Jeannie
Sounds like you know your way around watches The forum here not only discusses watches, and Rolex in particular, but we just like to have a great time. There are quite a few ladies on here and the more the better. Photos of watches are great, as you can see,

Hi, Jeannie. Glad you're here! I'm the same age as you but got married a year sooner. Tell us more about your bungalow. What style is it? Tudor? Cape Cod? My house was built in 1939 and I'm kind of an old house nut. Or maybe just an old nut.

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming.
Lisa - I'm not sure what type of bungalow it is. It's kind of a shotgun style with the hall running the length of the house. It's completely brick built with no wood framing at all. It has the lovely high ceilings you see in older houses and horsehair plaster walls. Also heart-of-pine floors throughout. But very small at just over 1100 SF. I'll try to post pics of the house later. I don't have any right now. I need to post up some wrist shots of the DJ too. I've got a couple of those but they're so blurry I'd like to get some better ones. Path - I'm not far from Brunswick County. In fact, I spent Labor Day weekend at Oak Island near Southport. Beautiful area. Best to stay clear of the coastline right now though, with Hanna and Ike on their way. Jeannie |

We have frequented Ocean Isle Beach for the past 20 or so years, we love it.
Is there a good AD in that area? |

I actually bought my watch from an AD while on vacation in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He gave me a better deal than I could get locally, where they are reluctant to discount. Jeannie |

So Jeannie have you had any further thoughts on getting your 14060M non-date Sub?
I hope to see a wrist shot real soon

So I decided to stray from the fold and yesterday I tried on a man's Tag Heuer Aquaracer. I've looked at and rejected Tags before, but only the women's. So now I'm seriously thinking about the Aquaracer. But I won't be making a decision anytime soon. I'm enjoying the hunt too much. Lots of watches out there. Thanks for asking! Jeannie with all due respect, I don't think you should give up on a Sub (no-date) just yet. I believe that if you try that watch on once per fortnight or once per month for the next 3 or so months, you will find that it will not look and feel so big. It's just a matter of becoming accustomed to that slightly larger size.
As for the TAG, well I have a TAG and they are fine, but the Sub is so much more sophisticated as a timepiece. Anyway, good luck with your ultimate decision.

Jeannie - has the idea already been discussed of a midsize Yachtmaster for you? Sporty, and smaller than a Submariner.

35mm for midsize YM.
How about the Explorer (one)? I love that watch for a woman. It's 36mm.
