Sub C for me because I have it. 5 digit is nice as well but I feel the lugs are just a bit too small and overwhelmed by the roundness of the bezel and case. Sub C lugs though a little big are complimented by it’s heft and overall solid feel. It’ll be the ultimate to have both - I’m thinking of a 2liner no date as a great pair to keep.

I’ve read that the 5 digit subs wear smaller due to a less bulky-looking case, but seeing them side by side on your picture makes me feel it actually wears bigger than the 6 digit? Also the later model seem more proportionate than the other.

My favorite Rolex ever made (after owning 14). Sea-Dweller 16600 is close but come on... Sub is Sub.

Hey everyone, new member here. Id just like to add that the modern sub has the larger markers which was a huge selling point for me as it gives it a vintage vibe. I feel that feature is overlooked in discussion. The markers, the glidelock and the previously mentioned extra removable link made this the watch for me. I do like the ceramic too! I just love my watch lol. (only had it 2 weeks)

Would love to see the new Ceramic Sub with narrower lugs.

I like the 5 digit case (lugs) in fact more, but the SubC bracelet beats everything.

I prefer the 16610. I don’t like the square, maxi case on the 116610.

They are both great watches....
They both feel different on the wrist!
5 digit is lighter, 6 digit is heavier
I love the rehaut on the 6
there are rehauts on 5 digit, so i looked for years to find one
i just prefer the 5 digit,

Again both are great....

5 digit.

The balance of the 6 digit Sub is just off to me. I really don't like the maxi case and how slim the bracelet feels coming off of it. Wore a 6 digit Sub Date for two years and had enough. If the lugs were tapered like the SD43, I most likely would have kept it.

That said, the bracelet, clasp and bezel are all far better on the 6 digit models.

ceramic bazel is gorgious, but I don't like the proportions of the 116610,
a little "squared".
Overall, I prefer the proportions of the 16610

I prefer the overall aesthetics of the 5 digit. The feel and rock solid bracelet and clasp on the 6 digit is hard to ignore, and it wears better on my wrist size/shape.
