few Codes from my visit to AP House NYC...have to see em in person to truly appreciate them. These were the 2nd and 3rd unique Codes that I've seen in person

Thanks for sharing these great shots and video. What was your impression of the black chrono with ceramic middle case? That is my absolute favorite Code.

Nice pictures! May I ask what's your wrist size?
Is this your watch on the first picture in the background? (stainless steel with open case).
Did you have to make an appointment to try those pieces on?
thanks

I own the burgundy code but if there is 1 other code I want it's the ceramic chrono. They did not have these in when I visited the AP house last month, curious if they have some exhibition Royal Oaks now?

I loved it. When looking at it online, it didn't seem that fancy but in person it felt like an optical illusion where the middle was missing/hollow. Personally if doing ceramic, I would opt for pink gold version of the code...I think that combo will hit harder

small wrist 5.5''/14cm. I don't own any Codes yet but already had a decisire for the chrono + perpetual. But after this trip, am strongly considering a date only (purple, burgandy, or blue). Yes NYC is by appt. only and my local boutique helped to set up a time slot for me to visit

No ROs on my trip a couple of weeks back. There was a 43 ROO. I heard the actual NYC boutique has the exhibition 50th pieces...but not sure. Will try to sneak a visit there next week if I can get it

How do you like the burgandy code / how's it been owning/wearing the piece? was that your top date only color when buying?

Where does the Code name come from? Is it a sailing reference - to the Code Zero sail?

Everyone kept asking what’s the secret 4-digit passcode to scoring a Royal Oak from the boutique.

We now know it’s 1159.

Surprisingly the code has been one of my most worn watches since I got it. Compared to the ROs it just low key and does not call for attention. Definitely a watch that grew on me a lot more after buying it. I asked the boutique for burgundy or blue and they offered burgundy so I took them up on the offer. The blue looks really nice in pics but I figured there are many more blue watches I can own but not as many options in burgundy.

I found this in an article when I was reading about the watch:

• Challenge – Challenge the limits of craftsmanship
• Own – Our roots and legacy
• Dare – To follow firm convictions
• Evolve – Never stand still
• 11.59 – The last minute before a new day

I am curious to hear how is the time accuracy of your Codes? I have the 3 hander with 4302 movement.
I have it for several months and it is always running fast, sometimes it can be up to 20sec in the space of 72 hours. Talked to AP and was told that the watch comes pre-set to run fast and 10sec per day can be normal. As the time goes by, it should become more accurate.
If it starts running 20+ sec per day, then it needs to be checked.

Brown calf strap is the perfect match to 18K rose gold watch case.

Love this thread.

Did anyone notice the grande sonnerie was removed from the AP site??! I know it’s a hefty price tag and the enamel is hand painted, but never actually saw anyone (even on social) rock it?? Wonder if they sold any? #thinking

Moved to the legacy section. I assume they sold all 5 they made. I thought that dial was fantastic, but outside of my single-watch budget by a significant factor.

It was a truly underrated masterpiece. Honestly. There is an amazing video up on YouTube about how they made the dial and all the different complications. Truly amazing

I assume that the 5 folks that bought this wouldn’t be the “flexing” on social media type…

Awesome piece nonetheless!

Pretty sure by this point every piece from the hyped brands has been flexed in one way or another on social media lol… this is really a piece I haven’t seen even the likes of gwatchg post anything about it… and that dude has probably one of the biggest and rarest AP collections out there.

This 1 of 1 sonnerie is a stunning sample. Very impressive that you were there and able to snap a pic.
