The green one is not discontinued, which is ludicrous if you actually think about it.
Patek will repair any watch they’ve ever made, so why would they drop production of the specially coloured rubber for that piece? It will only be supplied and fitted upon proof of ownership of the LE Aquanaut – a decision taken only in the last three or four weeks. |

I was taking a break from all the nonsense that went on in relation to me. Find a friendly LE owner and give him your strap order. Not sure why the ADs would claim the strap has been discontinued rather than explain it’s only available for those with that particular watch – potential enquirers are going to be disappointed either way. It’s six of one, half a dozen of the other. I suppose it takes less words to convey the same message, especially on social media channels, where brevity matters. |

I got one earlier this year on a strap in stock. Was told I was very lucky to get one. They are usually back ordered. Its off for the Winter but its back on in the Spring.

I take it to a local jeweler, but I am sure I could do it. I just don't want to scratch any thing. No I do not think it is hard at all. Adjusting the length is very easy also.

Yeah I have done the length, that was not too bad. Looks a bit tighter for to take the whole thing off though.

The aquanaut has your standard spring bars as well as two pins facing the watch head to secure it. I would recommend a tweezer type tool but it can be done with a standard 6767F.

khaki green on 5167r
All,
I went through some significant effort and difficulty to source the khaki green rubberstrap for my 5167R.. I'm not sure I'm convinced that it goes as well w/ the color of the R as it does with the 5167A. Some sample pics below -- never mounted, obviously never cut (it's brand new). What do you all think of the combination? If I decide it's not for me, I'll probably list it here on FS classifieds, or on ebay. |

I think a dark khaki would look better on the RG if that color strap existed.

Love the look of the green. I wish I would have asked for one earlier now.

so didn't bother taking a pic that way. the 5167r is mounted on its oem brown strap, not the black from the 5167a -- sort of difficult to tell in the lighting. |

It seems that you guys are doing a good job of trying to convince me that it's more appropriate for a 5167a =) or is it that you're all keen to get your hands on this strap??
I think at this point, I'd consider selling it for essentially what I paid (and to reflect a bit of the time & effort to actually get it in my hands!..) - so $800 + associated shipping. Probably the best thing for me to do is put it in the FS section, but I have to read up on what that requires (pledge), given I just have normal posting privileges here |

separate note, do you guys think a black strap looks good on the 5167r?
obviously a lot easier (and cheaper) to get one of those. most other brands that have a rose-gold "dive" style watch (e.g. yachtmaster oysterflex, etc) on rubber use a black band, rather than a brown one. |
