They have actually had it there for quite some time, surprised it is still there.

sorry, why should it climb? because the 5070P did? that is not enough reason....many discontinued references went nowhere, don't forget that.
that said, i am also thinking of picking one up (no probs, they are readily available).

They have one in Vegas. I requested a high discount and they seemed to be open to the idea.

I tend to agree. There is no reason for prices to climb except the fact that it’s discontinued. It’s still available in every AD. But who knows.

I’m torn if I should pick one up now or wait until Basel. The idea of a 5170A is tempting.

NoNo

it should climb because its one of the most beautiful watches which PP made in the last 15years.

only when you see the watch as it is in real live you know why you cannot compare this manual winding chrono with another mainstream nautilus or aquanaut.
this piece is for real watch enthusiasts which are dogged in fine details.

(when it would loose 40k it would be nonetheless for me the most beautiful watch in my collection)

I believe in the piece. Don’t think it will climb overnight. But over the years I believe it will go up.

ok i get it:::)))) yes, it is a great looking (dress)watch.
i believe it will not be accepted well by collectors because of the diamonds.

What we do see 'across the board' of all rumors is a lot of discontinued models. I read that as a lot of new offerings at Basel so that is something to look forward to.

Plenty available online from grey dealers at £60-£63k. Thats well below the list price of £74k.

Not worth buying from an AD unless they are willing to discount it?

Well I am glad I picked my 5296g up last week. Not from a value perspective, I know it’s not a 5726, I just love the watch and wanted my name on the papers.

Simple runs in a hoodie with his and I know you like fitness. Try again. Worth 150 in a year per Herman

The diamond thing is a nonissue for me, never in a million would I think of myself as a diamond guy but it’s spectacular and discrete all at once.

+1. The value of this 5170p will soar in a few years. The very short run, superior aesthetics, sweet size and the special diamond indices are all brilliant. There is no other Patek like this. Sometimes a product sell slowly but the secondary prices move in different ways, especially after a discontinuation.

Hold on to your 5170p.

Has anyone gotten their hands on the discontinued list? I believe it's making it's way out this week in advance of the new launches at Basel.
