So picking it up tomorrow guys.... and my AD surprised me by having a rubber strap and clasp included as well. So should I just go straight to the rubber or have the bracelet resized and wear it like that first for a while?

What a winner!

I would size both while there, and then sneak the rubber strap on ASAP.

Looking forward to pics,

Enjoy the day, and lack of sleep this evening.

So I went to pickup my Aquanaut today!

Here are some pics :D

In it's little sleeping bag :P

Releasing the Swiss air :P

After this I tried the watch on... loved it and we determined that 2 links need to be removed.
The technician then took the watch to adjust it and I said "Please please don't scratch my fresh bracelet :D"
"Not to worry sir, I shall treat it with perfection and take my time"
Nice!
In the meantime I settle the bill.

However that's as far as I got!

He was the only technician working today and was nervous about getting the sleeves and pins out of the bracelet as they didn't seem to be budging, and rather than damage or scratch the bracelet he gave his sincere apologies and said on Monday the Patek technician will make the adjustments.
They did also say they would do something as a little compensation but we will see what that is.

Needless to say, I am a little bummed that I got to pay for a watch and then
go home empty handed :(

So yeah..... bummer.

Ah well! Monday!

So I finally got to pick up my lovely 5167!!

So the AD was very apologetic but got the sizing pretty spot on I think.

My only slight blemish is that on the bracelet the align emend of one of the buttons seems to be slightly off and is “lifted” up towards the bracelet so the bracelet end scratches into the top of one of the buttons.
Would other think this is a QC issue?
Just find it strange that such a finely crafted bracelet would be allowed out of the factory like that.
Or am I being pedantic? :)

Anyway I absolutely love this damn thing!

I love thsi damn thing.

I haven't felt a watch sing like this since I got my IWC 9 years ago. It just feels perfect.

I love how the rotor spins around on your wrist making a such a satisfying sound haha

Another thing you will love the bracelet more than the strap, trust me......

Having both bracelet & strap is a Win Win situation.....

So true and have to agree with this !!!
