New AP’S prediction 2022 thread

Y’all sleeping… rumors are this year gonna be a crazy interesting one for AP enthusiasts. Is there anyone who can share some info about some of the models rumored to be dropping in the next few months?

So far I’ve heard about the 41mm Chrono’s getting new movements and perhaps dial colors.

And of course a new Jumbo (replacing the 15202ST) which will probably be in precious metals #excited

New steel chrono with the flyback movement and new Jumbo are a given (basically already announced by AP last year, just timing and implementation details to be revealed).

Like many others I have visions of a whole family of ceramic ROs, expanding upon last year's 34mm model.

There will be a new movement replacing the legendary calibre 2120. My guess is that for the 50th anniversary there will be a limited edition of 50 pieces of exact examples of the original 5402ST. Also they might choose to go with a monobloc case like on the original Royal Oak Jumbo ref. 5402ST

Some kind of replacement for the not very popular Jules Audemars dress watch line.

Pure speculation in the wind. But maybe some return of more complicated RO like the dual time.

Maybe ladies size Code line.

I'd love to see a relaunch of the dual time (VC docet).
steel 41mm Chrono and replacement of 15202 with several iterations of materials/dials are a given.

I would love to see special variant of the fiberglass only watch. Of course the new jumbo with probably exotic materials.

My SA in AP House thinks there will be new colours for all the RO range (15500, 15450, 77350 etc) with 50 year anniversary rotors in them.

I’d like to see upgrades to their rubber straps with latch systems similar to Patek or Rolex. I actually like the large buckle on the Rolex rubber straps, it really stands out and adds extra style points.

Shot in the dark guess, white ceramic something with cherry red dial.

10000% onboard with this.
Keep saying - the Code 11.59 Starwheel! You heard it here first. (Just wishful thinking)
