I passed..

I was offered the 5226G but passed. I was tempted, but the 'big brother' 5326G is my preference. I discussed this with my SA and seemed to actually appreciate that I would rather wait and have him allocate this to a client who likes the aesthetic of this particular piece as a 'time-only' with only the date. Who knows these days, but I'm still sticking to my rule which is to only buy what I actually want and then wear them often.

small complaint but with the more casual aesthetic wish it had at least 60m WR, and could be a do it all watch.

You should only buy what you want.

Both great pieces but the 5326G definitely takes the cake. Solid move.

Fully agree to buy what “clicks” and not be compelled to buy just for sake of it. Between the 2, I love the big brother. Very versatile and also functional. All the best in the wait and eventual acquisition!

Agree with buying only what you like.

On the 5326, be prepared for a thicker than expected case compared to the 5226. 3mm sounds like a little difference but it’s a personal thing.

The casework and clos de paris beautifully disguises the side pushers to set calendar and timezone delta.

Amazing pieces but totally understand wanting and waiting for the 5326. But surely your SA can make somebody very, very happy this Christmas with the 5226.

Good point on the thickness. I have a Zeitwerk and a thicker timepiece does not bother me in the lease.

If you do not have a GMT, I would have done what you did. But the simplicity of the 5226 is what makes it special to me and I also do not love the travel time process on the 5326 vs the pusher style 5164 for example

5326g is worth the wait! Mine just arrived today.

good decision and can't be blamed for only buying what you really want
if we all do that things might go back to normal and SA won't asks us to buy what we don't want :)
