Need help - Datejust Dial - no marker on 12 o'clock

Hi all,

I have this datejust that I could not find one with the exact same dial. Does anyone have any info on this? The special point is that there is no marker on the 12 o'clock. It has an oyster bracelet. Swiss made at the bottom.

Also the font of the date looks different from most of the datejust references.

Any info would be wonderful. Thank you very much,

I think it would help you to share some back story on that watch to have anyone knowledgeable to share what I think you already are feeling about it. Good luck mate

That's nasty. Sorry OP, you won't be able to pass that off as genuine. More work required.

Let's see if I can guess. Someone hoping to make some good money on a fake watch, dipping their toe in to see if they can get away with it.

I might be wrong.

You are 100% wrong.. I don't know why you think about that. See my response pls.

You can tell from the pic, it is of very bad condition, don't think anyone can make a good money out of it even it is a genuine one.

I started to invest for my own watch and my bf told me he had this. I am curious to know about it, so did some research but could find nothing.

That's it. No dodgy story here.

Then this is something your companion should be investing his time and emotion in. How is it that “you” were tasked with looking into sometime that involves a “Fathers gift to a Son”? Just tell your boyfriend there are way to many red flags on this watch and he should have a sit down with his father. Best of luck

"Superlative" is spelled incorrectly, other than that...

It's spelled correct. Lot of other things are wonky like the date wheel font, the engraved rehaut and dial don't match up to a correct reference, so yeah, it's still very suspect.

Man, this is a very casual ask. He doesn’t care about that watch at all, whether it is fake or not. I start this thread because I am interested. That’s it, why you guys read so much into this?

I am just here to ask for some help. Seems some guys are having pretty nasty attitude.

It's because it happens on a regular basis - someone with a low post count and a blatantly fake watch wants to see if they can pass it off as genuine. Maybe you aren't one of those, but there is no way to know.

It’s fake.
The end.

If that hurts your feelings, well that’s life.

Take the watch and toss it in the dumpster and then set it on fire.
Welcome to TRF.

Here’s the deal Oscar is it?

Your boyfriend / companion received a gift from his father which he couldn’t care less about and here you are being bashed for for something you have no vested interest or do you? Regardless of why you have taken on this task it seems you are fishing for something and that’s why you are feeling attacked. Here is probably the best advice you will hear take it or leave it that is up to you, here it goes ready? You have read and I’m sure understood what the majority of comments are seeing from your pictures if you are still in disbelief here is where you should take it and see for yourself. Godspeed

Man, what is this all about?? Me feeling attacked? It is you starting with an unfriendly conversation with full sarcasm. You read a post and made an accusation based on this single post - anything wrong with you?

yes, I want it to be an authentic one because of the story you already know - this is a father's gift. Give me a reason that I do not want it to be an authentic one please. I feel being attacked because the way you say things especially when you dont know me. Yes, there might be a lot of people fishing like this, but the way you behave was not sth a decent person would ever do.

The forum is a place to ask questions and discuss - not a place for you to spread your hatred or show off how you can be a Sherlock Holmes in the watch world.

I will report your response. If you feel like you are right about me - welcome to report this thread.
