16234 Legit/Correct Dial Check
Hi all,
Just got a new (to me) DJ36 16234, and after multiple assurances from the seller that nothing had been modified, it appears that the dial is unoriginal to the watch. It has an F14xxxx serial number that if I'm correct, dates it to 2003. However, the dial is a "T Swiss Made T", and the minute track looks more like a late 80s early 90s version. I'm not hugely concerned, as I've got a few layers of buyer protection here (not including the eBay guarantee, which is unhelpful at best), but any help would be appreciated. IMG_3097.jpeg |

Great, thank you. I had someone say on another forum that the date looked slightly off. This doesn't really seem to be the case to me, but can anyone confirm?

Date looked distended and elongated to me but I attributed that to just photographic distortion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

In the bucket of unsolicited guidance,I would return the watch, and buy one from one of the many trusted knowledgeable sellers here Who will get you a piece with integrity, originality, etc. those concepts are super important to me too, and I have purchased three DJ from trusted sellers here all original, all set, box papers, etc.

About $5500 USD after taxes. I haven't made a full decision, but the crystal not being original honestly worries me more than the dial in terms of the long-term integrity of the piece. I'll hold off on bashing the store until I've made a decision though.

Thats a good price about £4100, is it a full set? The crystal is a consumable and can be replaced, im told a lot of the value in a watch is in the dial and hands. I missed out on a similar watch 2 days ago £4100 full set. If that is the one you want can you negotiate on the price?
