Wait, what? Premium? You said you bought at an AP boutique, MSRP is below market price for these on the secondary market. Why would you have paid a premium?

He means the price just went up. Was 22k in July. Now MSRP is 24K and some change

Maybe a few people were out of pocket and a few people dropped out.

And maybe the price hike even helped you out, if a few others balked at paying $2K more than the earlier price. Not sure about that, though... when I was on the wait list earlier this year, the Boutique had told me that "usually" a price increase would not affect people with a deposit already down.

Anyways, enjoy the watch. It's definitely grail-worthy!

If the $2k change shifted demand that much. We just found the equilibrium.

Lol, not enough info to conclude anything. Maybe AP ramped up output before August break.

Could be.. but if they ramped supply to satiafy 1-2 years of wathes... the next question is....

Whats the backlog now?

Sorry, I don't think I was clear. I was just saying there could be various reasons why wait-lists are sometimes shorter than expected. We really don't know why. We can endlessly speculate, but it's just speculation.

Honestly, I have no idea, but OP is happy and I'm happy (waited longer than OP, but not as long as expected--I was told a few people ahead of me were out of the country when my Jumbo came in). And I'm happy that I got mine before the price hike. :-)

Enjoy, definitely one of the best watches out there, super comfortable and elegant.

I had to sell mine to fund something else, but I miss it a lot.

congrats!

glad you were able to get one (and new no less!) after that avi & co fiasco. strangely avi still has one of the lowest prices for the 15202 on chrono24, using what looks to be a stock photo...not sure if that whole issue was ever resolved.

Did you get it from a boutique in the US? Mind sharing what boutiques puts you on the wait list even without prior purchase history? Thank you in advance
