Diver popularity

I don’t ever see much info regarding the divers... I like the watch... I prefer the look of the 42mm offshore but a bigger watch... slightly big for my 6.5 inch wrist...

The diver is simple and on rubber which I like as well...

Is the movement completely in house? Any pics or thoughts regarding this watch

Which diver specifically? I have the FC Diver and absolutely LOVE it. I have a 7" wrist for reference.

All of them have the in house cal 3120 movement in them.

I am partial to yellow but I find the ceramic case kinda plain. The carbon with its weave really appeals to me, looks alive! I do wish they had brushed the ceramic bezel on the FC like the CE but the rainfall is pretty as well. Also have to remember that AP pioneered the use of carbon in watch making, dating back to the 1980's, so there is some history there as well.

The Divers were very popular here about 5 years ago, I had one and there were many incomings but then the 44 range came out and updated 42s and the Diver got slightly forgotten. If the CE and FC got new updates and were released they would be very popular too.

I’ve been really enjoying mine since acquiring 9 months or so ago.

You can check out my original review from last year for details on the S-Steel version.

Likewise some movement pics in the recent thread on Macro shots (alongside SC11’s beyond stunning openwork)

The rubber is super comfortable and makes it so so versatile.

The cal. 3120 movement is fully in house; and as a sample of one, mine has been keeping fabulous time to within a few seconds a week.

The 15710ST is my daily wearer for pretty much everything - sustained a few light grazes but nothing to write home about.

It suits my lifestyle infinitely more having the diver vs. the 15400 which was my other option when looking. It’s subtle and sporty but still packs a horological punch in terms of movement, case design and finish.

The CE version is also absolutely exquisite in its finishing - and I guess the FC must bring an even more sporty dimension to the party, but have never handled or seen those two versions in the flesh.

It won’t ever be the most popular variant vs. the 44s and probably 15400/450s but it’s a really great entry level option for getting into AP.

N.B. My wrist isn’t much bigger than yours but the fit is spot on for me and my tastes.

I have a flat 6 3/4” wrist.

Tried it on with a short strap and it looked sharp!

Definitely on my list for the next acquisition. Would love an FC or CE if they would re-release.
