Icon20 New Member, Old 'Lex...

Hi,

I've found some great info on this forum, and hope I can find (and contribute) some more. I have a few questions - I got a GMT 16750 when I joined the Army back in 1981. Pepsi with jubilee bracelet, sn 6,441,XXX. It's in pretty good shape for having been worn almost daily for almost 40 years. I have worn this watch in combat, and there are a few scratches on the (acrylic) crystal. It's been serviced every 4 or 5 years, still keeps good time
(<2 minutes deviation per month.)

I tried to post some photos, but don't have 10 posts, so no links.

I've had it looked by a watchmaker, he said $300 for a new crystal, installed.
Worth it? Acrylic or sapphire? Can it be polished back to normal?

I am also considering selling it. Chrono24 suggested $12,995. Comments?

If |I sell it, it'll probably be in Moscow. I hear prices are 10% to 15% higher for Lex's there. Anybody know a good dealer in Moscow?

Looking forward to your comments.
