Scarhead's Question for the Day

Yes, it really is me and I'm back. If it could happen since I've been here, then it did...no kidding.

On to the question

If you were going to buy a used/CPO vehicle for under $100K which from the following list would you pick? Feel free to add why you chose what you chose.
  • Mercedes S550
  • Mercedes S63
  • Porsche Panamera
  • BMW M5

Oh, glad to be back

Which Panamera? The turbo is a beast!! BMW would be my last choice. The other 3 would depend on what you find out there.

S550 is a great all around vehicle.

Very general, need specific year and spec.

2002 BMW e39 low mileage M5 or 2008 low mileage M5 are massivley different about a liter and two cylinders to be exact.

Same with the P car turbo/gts/4s etc

BUT I will play, they are all luxury sedans BUT the BMW imho is a bit sportier then the other 3 listed machines. I would take the BMW ///M5 vs these regardless of specifics. If you prefer luxury the Mercedes defiantly has a bit more float and interior appointments.

2018 panamera 4s 1 owner serviced at dealer since new would be where I would start. I like the sporty nose of the panamera. S550/63/m5 are land yachts. The Porsche is more thin n trim.

I asked my German Car mechanic which brand he bought and he said ALL of the guys at the shop buy preowned MB. 3-4 years was his reccomendation. Parts costs and more maintenance steered him away from BMW and Porsche.

Depends on a lot.

They have similarities, but one stands apart.

I think I’d go that route and go S63.

But those are all winners.
