I’m first in line for one of these at my AD, only to be informed yesterday that they gave their one and only watch to a VIP instead

I was informed that the order is awaiting fulfillment from Switzerland, it’s close now. They had a leather that was offered but the bracelets are he ones IMO. Can’t wait.

I'm waiting for a BB GMT which was suppose to be coming in July, but the BB 58 is the spitting image of the 6538 Rolex Submariner I dream of, so was wondering if I should try and swap my other from GMT to 58.

Don't want to wait an extra year though tbh.

Wish they had a ceramic bezel! At this price point thought they really should!

Are they really going to do the thing where they trickle these out like special new Rolex offerings? I frankly don’t get it. There are a bunch of people who want to buy this watch, because it’s a solid watch. It’s not a status symbol. It’s not going to double in value on the secondary market. At this point I’m so pissed about the release delays I might just not buy it in protest. It’s Tudor for gods sake. Just sell me a watch. This waitlist crap is ridiculous.

LOL someone’s already trying it on. $5100 with the description:

“Highly coveted collector's piece with long waiting lists and a very limited supply. Don't think twice before buying it!”

It takes time for new watches to hit market saturation -- it's not like a dozen watches show up at every AD on the same day. Give it time to flow out to the usual channels.

Whole point is to be a vintage inspired diver like the Rolex/Tudor of old.

Love the 58. I already got the GMT (superb watch!) and will get the 58 in blue as soon as it released in blue. It is a matter of time.

Am I crazy to put half down now? Local AD is asking for half down to be on the waitlist. Rationally I figure in 3 months these won't be hard to find.

I totally understand that at the beginning of a release there will be some wait times as people buy up the inventory, but people are saying waitlist of a year on this thread. I’m frustrated at the year long wait. I’m not sure I believe it, but if it’s true I think that’s ridiculous, they could definitely avoid that if they wanted to.

I popped into my AD in Toronto and they had the BB58 on bracelet and leather on sale. The AD just got it in last Friday. I've been eyeing this watch and a Rolex OP for quite some time. I've been looking for the best one watch collection and the BB58 might be the one. The BB58 is versatile that I can wear it while dressing down or dressing up in a suit. The case is sporty and the gold tones give it a dressy appeal. No wonder why this watch is coveted. The price value compared to other brands including Rolex is insane. I think it is one of the watches that you can say if you bought it now that you can easily sell this watch at a higher price.

What AD in Toronto? I have been searching for one now for some time... It's probably gone by now

How would that mesh with the gilt? A faded baby blue would be cool.

would probably go back to non gilt hands / bezel for the blue and red models assuming they are in the works.

Those of you on the waiting list, do you call your AD to follow up? If so, how often?

I have been calling my AD every 1-2 weeks since about July 1, if that calms anyone's self-conscious neuroticism
