Just visited my local AD.
In a display for 90 watches, they have 35 in stock.
AD very frustrated and says it’s getting more insane daily.
He told me in exact words, "41mm on allocation".
Lots of 28 and 31mm, TT Sub, retired DSSD, retired YM.
Clients ask them if they are closing the account because it looks that way.
They also told me that they receive dozens of inquiries through email/phone calls; always with the same reply.

I've been on a waiting list at my local AD for 3 or 4 months, still no call despite popping in 2 or 3 times... Luckily one turned up at another AD near to work, so I snapped it up.

This was for Blue/smooth/Oyster

The DJ41s require a bit more effort than you would expect. People are turning to them due to lack of SS sports supply & realizing they are beautiful watches in their own right ! ... & more attainable.

I don't think it will get much more difficult to obtain than what it currently is .. as it's Rolex 'bread & butter'

I understand the skepticism; however, it is true - slightly. The DJ41 Blue Dial is the only one that is a challenge right now.

I agree with those calling it a sales tactic. When I saw the white dial, I chuckled to myself.

I actually really dig the white dial, but the "rare" DJ41s are the blue dials. Ask your salesperson about one and watch their language change from "look at this white DJ41 I'm getting for you- it's a big favor!" to "uhhh...umm..."

I visited the local AD this past Monday. They had just sold a DJ41 SS White Stick on jubilee. They had a SS DJ41, Blue Roman in the case. SA told me that they were unable to order specific DJ41's and took what Rolex sends. Plenty of 36's in SS and TT.
