Appraisal service
I need to get my 5905P appraised for my insurance company because they won’t accept only the invoice/receipt of when I bought it. Are there any appraisal companies where I can obtain an appraisal online without having to send my watch in somewhere?

I can't imagine a legitimate insurance company what won't accept a proof-of-purchase for a known model, but will accept an unseen on-line "appraisal".

The AD that sold you the watch should have and can write you a valuation. Small AD’s do it big AD’s do it.

I will note that originally they said they didn’t do them for watches they didn’t sell, but did me a favor and did it anyways. |

It’s insured for replacement value right? As this is a current model surely you can just refer them to the Patek official website which has the RRP and provides an independent source for value? I mean that is the be all and end all source! Feels a little strange that they’re making you do this.
https://www.patek.com/en/collection/...ions/5905P-010 Insuring my 5712/1A was very simple and I just sent them the invoice. If something did happen though, dunno how easy it would be for my AD to get me a new one. I guess insuring it at the market price would be a no go! |

You can insure for what you like - tell them what you require and pay the premium.
If the piece can't be obtained again new via an AD in a reasonable time period then the BNIB grey price is absolutely an option. |

^^^^this However - as stated above - I’ve never heard of a mainstream insurance company or underwriter not accepting a proof of purchase (receipt) as enough. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
