I like the 320 myself--more vintage look.

For me, definitely the 320. Love the 1950's case and prefer the cleaner dial. Not so crazy about the silver disc on the 88 (like the 297 more) but I do like the sub-hands on the 88. I guess it is just a little busy for my liking

Well, I don't get the 12 hour GMT's. I like 24 hours GMT's.
But, that said. I like the 320 more!

88 and not just because I have one. I like it for the 24H GMT and I love the layout
The 320 is a gorgeous watch as well. Comes down to what you like

I had the same choices when I got my Panerai. I wanted 88 first but after trying both of them I agree with a lot of people. 320 has a cleaner look and more vintage, that's why I got 320. But 88 is very popular as well.

Looks wise, I like the cleaner PAM00320. But as mentioned here... I am turned off by the 12-hour GMT hand (there should have been a day-night indicator to go with that)... so among these too I would go with the PAM00088.

From a functional standpoint the 88 wins. However a 320 is on my radar.

Must say I have had the 88 and traded it for the 312 and after being in close contact with both the 88 edges it slightly for functionality. The 320 is a gorgeous reference but the 12 hour GMT is a stumbling block.
