I think it's charming, but the price seems extraordinary. Maybe if it was a full set?

I'm no expert, but I suspect the insert is not original. Font looks too thin to me but I'll defer to those who know more.

It's a beautiful example. Mk4 great white 1665 dial in mint condition which is correct for the serial number of the watch. The dial has a very attractive patina which matches the hands and pearl as well. Case looks beautiful. The insert is not period correct for the watch.

Very nice example, replacement insert, it has been polished/detailed. And about overpriced with $4,000.

That's a stunning white 1665. Double-check the top right lug. Could just be the lighting, but it looks like it's been polished a little more than the other lugs. Also, more minor, I think that's a service crystal. I'd want a super dome on a 1665.

I'll disagree with the others about the price. Maybe a little high for an Mk4, but try finding another 1665 in excellent condition with this kind of beautiful patina. They're very, very hard to find. Prices for the best examples are indeed in the $14K and north range, and like all vintage Rolexes, prices will only keep going up. Good luck!

I would agree with the Texan.

Ive just got similar, unpolished and full-set inc anchor, papers etc and perfect dial and for sale at similar price. As said the insert is not original.
