"Vintage Rolex Collection"

Anyone know anything about the watches that are available at Barneys? My wife likes one but the salespeople at Barney seemed to no very little about them, except that they are used, refurbished, warrantied thru Barneys and that the colors are "unique". Thanks in advance.

Welcome to TRF!

I don't know Barney's, but maybe you could get a chance to take some pics of the watches and post the pics here? That could help us decide.

There are many experts in vintage Rolex watches here!

99% of them are refurbished Oyster Percisions. Meaning they are manual winding and not automatic movements. Once in a while they might have an Air-King which is automatic movement. The issue I have is that the dials are repainted in "fashion" colors to attract their customer base. They are only warrented by Barneys and Rolex service centers would turn them away because of the non-original dials. I would stay clear of them, as you can find original Rolex watches in the same price range or cheaper that don't have these issues with them.

There are loads of these on ebay.co.uk various hideous colours, usually about £600-£700.
